SAFE TRANSPORTATION

All consignments are despatched and delivered using approved and preferred carriers or hauliers to ensure safe and efficient transportation.

Packages sent via courier are securely packed to withstand transit conditions. Larger consignments are palletised and wrapped to ensure stability and protection during handling and transport. All consignments are routinely checked prior to despatch and again during loading to confirm correct labelling, quantity, and condition.

Upon delivery to the customer’s premises or building site, consignments must be inspected before unloading in accordance with the recipient’s internal unloading procedures. Ensure that the pallet is secure and stable before removing it from the vehicle.

If there are any signs of damage, Tec Ties Limited must be notified immediately.

Any shortages or damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

HANDLING

All materials, components, and finished products must be handled safely and with care to prevent injury and damage to the product.

Personnel involved in handling must follow safe working practices at all times and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves, safety boots, and high-visibility clothing. Products may contain sharp edges or pointed ends. Extra caution must be taken when lifting, moving, or unpacking these items to avoid cuts or other injuries.

Loads should be evenly balanced and secured before lifting or moving. All items should be placed and stored safely to prevent slips, trips, or falls. Any shortages or damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Safe manual handling techniques should always be used — bend knees, keep the back straight, and avoid twisting or overreaching. Assistance or lifting aids must be used for heavy or awkward loads. We recommended that individuals don’t carry more than 25kg. for further guidance see HSE regulations and manual handling legislation.
